There are many aspects of your life that are intertwined and influencing each other. It can be beneficial to look at your mental health, physical health, relationship dynamics, financial circumstances, time spent in fulfilling activity, work/life balance, and self-care patterns to identify opportunities for improvement. This whole picture view of wellness can be overwhelming at times, but it also provides a roadmap for each individual’s journey. You can trust that I am skilled at designing creative solutions to solving problems. We will work together to understand and address the barriers that are blocking your growth, create impactful change through achievable goals, and uproot the toxicity in your thoughts, patterns, or behaviors that keeps you from thriving.

Holistic Approach

My background of experience in individual psychotherapy, medication management (psychopharmacology), behavior modification, and physical assessment lends itself to a holistic approach to treatment. If a discussion about the risks and benefits of medications is appropriate for you, that can be part of our work together. I have a special interest in helping people reduce the number of medications they are taking, discovering the lowest effective doses, and eliminating reliance on "as needed" medications when possible. There are many non-medicine interventions that could prove beneficial for you. I bring a special focus on the influence of sleep, exercise, and nutrition patterns to your care. These often neglected and undervalued aspects of your life can make a significant impact on your state of well-being. As far as therapy goes, I tend to exhibit a fairly eclectic style. I combine elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Supportive Therapy, Behavior Modification, and Motivational Interviewing depending on the needs of the individual. At times we will need to focus on crisis management, but some of the best therapeutic work is accomplished in times of exploration while working toward short and long term goals.
